Working with the Southern Program Alliance, the removal of this level crossing included the
construction of a new Edithvale Station, as well as a 4-lane intersection with dedicated turning lanes
over the rail line. ODM have been involved in improving station facilities and more lighting creating a
safer station precinct.

The new Edithvale Station is designed to enhance connections around the area. Improved bike
facilities and walking and cycling connections will create more ways to get to the new Edithvale
Station. The Station’s design has a unique easily seen urban marker, and scattered gardens for extra
shading to help create its own identity.
